Earth in the Crosshair

A huge Meteorite were on i9ts way to Earth. The scientists had tried several ways to stop, or deflect this mountain in space. None worked. Now the government decided that it was time to send away the big gun. It was decided in both Congress, and Senate, that if we don't stop this meteorite, there will be no Earth. They put the largest h-bomb ever made, on a rocket. The rocket had a successful blast of, and our scientists could follow it toward its target. With the news laser target, that should let of the bomb at the right distance from the meteorite. It was a great success, and it was a proud scientist that told the world, it was safe. A week later, one astronomer from California made an alarm. He had looked at thr space, where this huge meteorite had been, and found several hundred buss, and car sized meteorites still coming towards us. The holocaust that started, and the effect of these thousands of stones heading our way could have the same effect as the original one. The devastation, and the try to rebuild lasted for many years. We lost half of our population, almost four billion people.
