Sphere of Death

When Jeromy, and his sister Beth had their usual exercise in the park, Jeromy saw something out in the lake. Something went under the water, he told Beth. Let's row out, maybe we can save a person in trouble. Coming out on the lake, a large bubble came out of the water, and sucked Beth into it. Then it went below the surface. This was the start of many adventures, which included Jeromy working for the armed forces, helping to produce different gases for the bubble.
