Many people walk through our lives but how many of them do we allow to touch our hearts? Not many. Why not? No time or no care? We all have stories to share but there is seldom anyone to listen; such a missed blessing.

But, one day, in her golden years, Maddie became the exception. She was blessed to meet a young girl who was eager to listen. A young girl who took the time and cared. A young girl who steals Maddie's heart.
As you walk through these pages, you gain insight of how life was for Maddie "back in the day." Maddie shares memories of her life from the time she was born in the early 1900s in East Tennessee until many years later. You will journey with her through trials and tribulations and also meet the wonderful, interesting people she becomes friends with along her way. Life was not easy in those days but she recounts her memories in such a quaint way, you will enjoy reading of her life of hardships, sadness and happiness, adventures and surprises, and love.
