The Joe McCain Story - One Family's Journey: A Biography of Joseph Pressly McCain 1858-1934

When I was working on my first book, "Everything's Rosy!" The John N. McCain Story, about my Dad, I learned a great deal that I didn't previously know, and also learned much about my Grandfather, Joseph P. McCain, whom I had never known. In fact, I learned enough to inspire me to continue researching his life with the goal of being able to record his life's history for future generations. I could see much of my Dad's character, work ethics, and principles that he had gotten from his father, even though he had passed away when his only son, John, was just 15. Dad is now 99, and these principles have been a part of his life for all these years, and I was hoping to uncover some of the sources. Joe McCain started out early with hardships during the Civil War and grew to be a farmer, a cattle trail driver, a rancher, a contractor, a businessman, a family man, and a father who passed the traits that he learned in life on to his son, John N.
