Army Pilot's Love Summary

Savanna Jones is an Army brat whose goal in life is to be a soldier like her dad. Her mother isn't pleased with her choice, but acquiesces when she realizes that Savanna will enlist no matter what.
Having moved from base to base all through her childhood, Savanna can't imagine what civilian life is like. It also has prevented her from forming friendships. So when she arrives at boot camp and is harassed and harangued by her drill sergeant, one Timothy Haggard, the other women in her unit shun her. They distance themselves from her to avoid also being the target of Sergeant Haggard's diatribes.
Soon, she finds Sebastian Cooper, who befriends her, and takes comfort in his arms. But his so-called friendship turns into a psychotic obsession. When Savanna completes basic training and is transferred to another Army base, Sebastian writes to her frequently. Savanna has moved on, made new friends, and has no interest in pursuing a relationship with Sebastian, but he refuses to accept that.
Savanna gets paired with Andrew Brown, an experienced helicopter pilot, who is her mentor in more flight training. Their relationship grows from mentor-student to friendship to becoming lovers.
Then the day comes when they receive their orders that they will be deployed to Iraq. Both Savanna and Andrew will be going, but they won't go at the same time. Nor are they certain that they will end up in the same location.
Will their new-found love for each other stand the test of time and separation? Will either one survive the horrors of war? Or will their most dangerous enemy be found wearing the same uniform as theirs? Follow Andrew and Savanna as they strive to maintain their growing relationship amid attacks from without and from within.
