So, I'm the "smart one." My older sister Kenley... is the "pretty one." At least according to our nightmare match-making mom, and it's no mystery which daughter she prefers. While Kenley played the passive dress-up doll, I did the opposite, refusing any attempts to prettify me and make me into "billionaire bait." Instead, I'm totally focused on college, where I'm a double engineering major, and on my internship at an Atlanta TV station. I have zero time for anything else.
As far as romance goes--please--I'm not even sure true love is a "thing." As I do for everything in my life, I had a logical plan: select a sensible mate, come to a mutually satisfactory agreement, and stick it out for better or worse.
Then I met Blake Branham.
He makes no sense for me at all. He's a reporter at the station, years older than me, and has ambitions to work at the network someday while I intend to stay put in Atlanta. Even worse--he's a total alpha. With my own Mr. Spock personality, the last thing I need in my life is a swaggering, sexy, Captain Kirk taking stupid risks and tempting me to do the same.
And he IS tempting.
Since being forced to work so closely with Blake on live shots and getting to know him outside the station as well, I'm feeling things I've never felt for another guy and starting to wonder... should I boldly go where I've never gone before? Should I give love a chance... even if it's not logical?
