Heroin in Harlem... Du-gy is a gritty urban novel that takes place in the African, American community of Harlem, New York City, during the 1960s and the 1970s--when heroin was known in the streets as Du-gy. The book skillfully explores the lives of people who, in yearning to be accepted, misguidedly chose a social niche to fit in, then found themselves tangled up in the evil web of heroin addiction.
