The Journey of Lyddie Fisher

Growing up in her Amish community in Culver County, Pennsylvania, Lyddie Fisher feels as though she will never fit in.
The Amish way of life comes with many strict teachings that Lyddie herself finds hard to follow at times.
Her heart breaks as Josiah, her best friend and the man she feels she will one day marry, turns his back on her in anger. Her many questions bring her much discipline from the new bishop as well.
Will both men be able to make her submit to them, their rules, and the rules of the district? Will her relationship with Josiah ever be restored? Or will Lyddie find love outside the Amish Faith and leave her family, community, and her Amish heritage behind?
