Here I Am, God; Where Are You? Prayers and Promises for Hospital Patients was written during the author's years as a hospital chaplain. Many patients find themselves very alone facing uncertainty, fear, and pain. They have no words to describe what they are feeling. Isolation cries out for understanding and comfort, for hope and assurance. Using scripture passages alongside of poetic prayers the author enables a patient to walk through the typical experiences every hospital patient endures.
