Requiem: A Novel of Mozart

As Mozart lies dying, a doctor administers a sedative as friends gather around him to sing through passages from his Requiem. To each movement he hears, Mozart recalls a poignant or dramatic incident from his life in Salzburg, Mannheim, Paris, and Vienna.
