Every day, new lawyer Madeline James is forced to confront her professional fears. As she prepares for her first deposition, she's terrified she won't measure up. Her boss sends her to Discovery Manor to get a bit of perspective.

When Madeline enters Instructor Ryan's candle-lit man-cave, she finds a bear of a man covered in brilliant tattoos. She quickly realizes his methods might be too hot for her to handle. Overwhelmed by Ryan's presence, though, she allows him to administer the ancient healing art of cupping. When that therapy proves a success, she graduates to more advanced techniques, relying on heated wax to cure what ails her.

All along Ryan insists that Madeline is capable of more. But will she find the courage to face his open flames?
