Cancer is established as a consequence of the accumulation of chromosomal mutations and epigenetic alterations of the genes involved in the regulation of the cell cycle. In the epigenetics of the tumor process the patterns of DNA methylation, the covalent modifications of the histones and the microRNAs participate. Any biochemical variation of our epigenome modifies the expression of the genes involved in the regulation of the cell cycle.
