THE SOCIAL DEMOCRATIC FRONT (SDF) OF CAMEROON: The Role and Path of the 1990-1997 Historic Party of the Opposition in Cameroons Quest for Democracy before its Derailment

An account of the rise and the tribulations of the historic Social Democratic Front (SDF) of 1990-1997, and how the party's dominant ideology at the time, which was centered around Cameroonian civic-nationalism, led the SDF to capture the hearts of the majority of the Cameroonians people, to the point where the party's head from the minority English-speaking part of the country went on to win the 1992 Presidential Election, which the incumbent president Paul Biya usurped by proclaiming himself the winner.
