Wisdom of the Father

Midnight brings the detectives to the scene of a homicide. Subsequent investigation finds Levi, the lead detective, standing in on the autopsy of the "Jane Doe" victim. The medical examiner, Dr. Whitaker, stirs his interest in forensic sciences, but Levi soon develops a deeper interest in the doctor's departmental secretary. Caroline, a raven-haired young lady, soon commands his dedicated attention. Levi finds ways to make frequent visits to the University Pathology Department. The enigma of the homicide drags on while romance blooms.
