Beyond This Facade: Gunther's Story

Recently released from prison, Gunther Anderson is not looking for trouble. But one Good Samaritan act lands him in the middle of a mess. His act of salvation turns into perpetual aggravation with the ungrateful woman he snatches out of harm's way. Gunther cannot wait to get away from Serena Allerton, and the feeling is mutual.

As misfortune has it, they need to stick with each other a while longer for the sake of safety. The man he shot in the foiled robbery has a family that holds fast to retribution. Now they aim to teach Gunther a lesson and make Serena collateral damage.

Gunther becomes her reluctant protector through her father's petition. Serena makes it plain that she does not want him in her vicinity. Neither of them has a choice. Enclosed in a tiny mountain cabin, each can't help getting into the other's space and on one another's nerves. While closeness fuels fury between them, they also observe a side of the other they never knew existed. Soon Gunther and Serena are eager to discover what lies beyond the façade they see.
