the boats in the 1670's till 1850's traversed from falmouth to the americas , boats known as packets as they brought new and parcels over to families, businesses, and loved ones . This is about one specicfic captain with five daughters , wife Ruth and their friend Alice. A chance meeting of his eldest daughter and a local lords daughter in truro , forges a friendship between the two . the story is set in and around falmouth and truro.
