Strategies of Jesus to Defeat Satan

Many Christians today have the idea that they can face Satan and defeat him on the basis of the strength of their faith. They have faith in their own faith instead of faith in God's Word and in Christ's victory over Satan.
It is not your faith that wins the victory. First of all, it is not your faith at all. Faith is a gift of God. (See Ephesians 2:8.) No matter how hard you may try, you cannot produce enough faith to defeat Satan. So quit trying, and begin to walk in the victory that Jesus Christ has provided for you!
Christ has already won the victory. Your faith in HIS VICTORY over Satan is what will enable you to take the victory that belongs to you. When you stand there, toe-to-toe with Satan, you must not stand there in the strength of your own faith. You must stand secure in the knowledge (based on God's Word) that Jesus Christ has already defeated Satan. He faced every temptation, every attack of Satan, and was victorious. Through His death and resurrection, He has already rendered Satan powerless in your life. Your victory over the circumstances that you are now facing was won at Calvary.
