The Story of Red Feather: A Tale of the American Frontier (Illustrated)

Melville Clarendon, a young man of sixteen and his sister Dorothy, about eight, find themselves orphaned when the Sioux capture and take their parents. They are befriended by Red Feather, a member of the tribe that had attacked their family. Together, Melville and Red Feather ward off numerous forays of less-than-friendly Indians.
