Through My Eyes

I grew up in Brooklyn, New York. In 1961, I married my high school sweetheart. Three years later my first child, Eric, was born (see chapter 3.A, a poem honoring my first child). At the University of Hartford, in Hartford, Connecticut, which my husband Allan was attending, I audited some classes with Eric in tow in car seats. Allan and I divorced. A few years after, I married Efraim Mizrachi and gave birth to three beautiful daughters from this marriage. The poem "Lady Child" (chapter 3.B) is a tribute to them.
