Bayside; Where is Philippe? is full of mystery and the paranormal as well. Clare Benedict, a widow and mother of a young child, inherits her aunt's estate by the bay. Aunt Marguerite believes that Clare will honor her wish to keep the estate in the family. Living in the city, Clare is the victim of a crime, so when Marguerite dies, she is happy to move from city to bay. She and her daughter are happy there but the question of Marguerite's son, her cousin Philippe, haunts her. Where is he, why isn't he the heir, are the questions running through the book.
