The Sharpshooters of Simpering, North Dakota

Before the American struggle for women's suffrage and the rise of the Mighty Five empire in North Dakota, the individual members all led colorful and often dangerous lives around the world. In this, the prequel to The Simpering, North Dakota, Literary Society, colorful historical characters make important appearances - such as Annie Oakley (an actual historical figure - and yes, she really did shoot that well), Nellie Bly, the first woman to circumnavigate the globe, and Theodore Roosevelt. Their stories all get mixed up in the Spanish-American War, courtesy of a midwestern Chief, San Francisco high society, and a slow boat to China.
