She couldn't believe what she was seeing!

It couldn't be real... It just couldn't.

But when he talked to her... she knew it was.

The Killer In My Mind is the intriguing story of a radio talk show host that gets a vision of a serial killer murdering someone. It seems at first that the vision of the killer came right out of the blue, but soon enough the talk show host learns that the reason she connected to this killer was that he had been in the act of murdering the daughter of one of her listeners that had called in at that very moment.

She was horrified by the vision and she knew very well that it was real: That the murder had actually happened. But she didn't know what she could do about it. The only thing she knew about this killer was that he was tall and thin and older. She never got a good look at him because the room he was in was very dark. Other than that all she knew about the crime was that it happened in New York. She knew that even though she was 1200 miles away. There was one other thing however: one other thing that had never happened to her before. The killer was aware of her when she was viewing him. He had been aware of her the whole time she was watching him. She didn't know what, if any, kind of threat that posed to her. She just knew she had to do something.

So, the next day, ignoring advice to the contrary, she reported what she had seen to the police in New York City. The cops blew her off at first. But then they got to the crime scene and the detective who had taken her call saw that the killing had happened just as she had described it to him and she had told him details that no one could have known except for the killer, or... someone who had actually seen this murder happen. He then realized that he needed to get back to the woman whom he had curtly dismissed on the phone.

But by the time he did another murder had already occurred and it was committed by the very same killer and again was seen by this psychic woman.

Realizing that they had a serial killer on the streets the detectives arranged to have her come to New York so she could help with their investigation which was bearing no fruit up to that point.

This killer was on a spree and she was witnessing every one of the crimes; each one in more detail. It was to the point that the killer waited for her to "tune in" to him. He enjoyed the fact that she could see him and he was taunting her. And... unbeknownst to her: he was trying to find her. It had become a game to him. A game of cat and mouse to him. She was the mouse.

For the next several days this killer would outsmart them all. The police were stymied. The evidence he left was useless in terms of identifying him. Meanwhile, she was growing so terrified of her psychic stalker she became less and less able to control when she could tune in to him and what she could see when she did. Now he came to her when he wanted to. What she didn't know was that he wasn't just coming to her telepathically anymore: he was coming to her physically. He had found out who she was. And he knew how to find her.

READER REVIEWS
Very good book! It's intriguing and suspenseful and leaves you hanging till the very end, which is what I like. Also has surprising revelations when the motives for the crimes are finally discovered. Many frightening moments in the story too.

***************

I thoroughly enjoyed the story, the psychic plot was very convincing, I do believe people have that ability. The events kept you wondering what happened in the killer's past that lead him to such violence and why there was other women involved, it was captivating to try and figure out what was driving him from his past. It was not easy to solve the case but in the end the detective kept putting the pieces together for a enlightening ending. Good story! FOUR STARS
