The year is 2094. The earth lies in the grip of a brutal Ice Age that has lasted for the past seven decades. By 2094, the world endures terror, hunger, revolutions, civil wars, and financial panics. Suddenly, earth receives contact, not from strange aliens afar, but from a great civilization--The Galactic Republic. The Republic has a steep price for Earth to pay to be released from the Ice Age. The world must help to win a war which has lasted hundreds of years. Earth must join the Galactic Republic in fighting the Dark Empire and the Menace from Deep Space.
