In this little (about 32 pages in printed format) story, the terrible and feared Fu Manchu and his nemesis Denis Nayland Smith have both grown old and the thrill of the chase has given way to shared admiration of the other's prowess. They have just come from Smith's assistant, Dr. Petrie's, funeral and try to come to grips with one of their three now being gone.
It makes Fu ponder his own mortality, something he has never before given thought to. After all, his age is far to the north of 100 (if you believe everything he says) and it cannot be too many more decades before he will join Petrie.
As Christmas is approaching, Fu takes the lyrics of one carol to heart, the one where "He knows if you've been bad or good..." and sets about recording all of his positing and negative points. He is dismayed to find he would likely be smack dam on the naughty list!
Fu and Nayland embark on an adventure to allow Fu to clear his conscience and to finally do many of the things he has wanted to but never allowed himself the time.
But, one item on his list may be a wish too far.

This is a small bit of fluff written to amuse the author and not for the purpose of replacing or even adding to the world of Fu Manchu other than to present a small holiday story. It is priced as cheaply as possible and is guaranteed to not make you believe the author is another Hemingway or Michener.
