Buffalo Poker

There was a time, twenty-five years ago, when Charles Cipressi became the topic of front page news in a myriad of publications stretching all the way from Buffalo, New York, to Houston, Texas, and to an area just north of San Francisco, called Marin County, California. Despite his mental illness, it was during these unrelenting days that Charles persevered for an unquestionable good cause, and yet, as a result, became known as sociopathic young man most thought wise to avoid.

A groundswell of damnation grew towards him like it might have grown towards any other man of similar ilk. Due in large part to the whole of irrefutable truth in the accusations levied against him, even within the full measure of time gone by, there remained a soundness of reason – morally, ethically and legally – that would force him to endure a disheartening span of silence before the harrowing events of his story could be told.

Buffalo Poker is, ironically, above all else, a love story amongst imperfect people who, in grand mythical proportions, would unwittingly deliver a hope for redemption between the good and the evil in all of us.
