The Beginning

Addy Carter has been single for as long as she can remember and if she didn't remember, her mother had no problems reminding her. After years of going to family events and having to deal with everyone, even Aunt Shelly, trying to set her up with nice boys that would have her searching for a quick escape, she comes up with a plan. Bring Shep, her best friend since high school as her fake boyfriend. It would be easy to pretend to be more with him. They knew everything about each other. Right?
Maybe faking it wasn't the best idea that Addy had ever come up with. Scratch that, it was the worst idea she had ever come up with. How was she supposed to deal with her growing attraction to Shep, the everyday drama of family visits and her sister's meddling? There was too much riding on her not ruining the relationship she had with Shep. Maybe she was a little in over her head. Why'd he have to be everything she wanted?
