The cold case of a murdered boy is the last thing Detective Chris Bellini wants because
he's raising a grand-daughter who is the same age as the dead child. The murder victim was kidnapped in a shop by two older boys, but the shop owner never saw them leaving.
Then there is the house-keeper who was in the house when the ransom note was
delivered but denies hearing anything and the gardener who may have had a 'special
interest' in the boy.

A hundred miles from the kidnapping, Lorna Watson, a teacher in a medium- security
prison reads the account of a kidnapping written by an inmate. Was the inmate one of the kidnappers? Then Lorna's husband disappears and Bellini realizes that though the child
is dead, the killer is still out there waiting, and he and his grand-daughter may be the next
victims.
With razor-sharp intrigue this story will hold anyone who likes a fast read with lots of twists.

I Loved It "This is the first mystery book I've ever read. I LOVED it. The character's
personalities were real. It was fast moving so I never lost interest in the plot."
(Amazon five star review)

Amazing First Book "This was an amazing first book, that caught me up from the first few
pages" (Amazon five star review)

Absolutely Fantastic! Mooers won't let you down. "I read the novel "Take My Hand" with
great interest. I like suspense/mysteries and Mooers has done a great job. (It is) full of
surprises. A great buy--you won't regret it. Buy now is my recommendation."( Amazon review)

The Dialogue Flows Naturally and the Suspense is So Good It Got Me To Turn The Pages
"' Take My Hand' is a very good read--a well constructed mystery with an appealing
detective reconstructing the scene and possible suspects in a 'cold case child abduction'.
Mooers constructs the pieces of her puzzle nicely with an ultimately persuasive, but not
immediately obvious solution." (Amazon review)

"The investigation leads Chris into a web of lies and family secrets that had me chomping
at the bit to find the truths, too. I really didn't see the twists coming (which is hard for a book
to be successful with me.) This was a really great read. Five stars." (Goodreads review)

"After a slow start with the shooting of Detective Bellini, the tension really builds from the
moment he and Larry begin investigating and does not let up--no easy feat for a
procedural like this one. Lorna is a great secondary character, with a well-developed
emotional arc and compelling relationships that make her involvement in the case even
more tense and dangerous." Review from the 2015 Writers Digest Self-Published Book
