Calling the Shots

The entire team could see that Crump and Makenna were in love with each other, but would those two ever come to realize it for themselves? Makenna went into the military straight from high school and was trained as an assassin... Until she started questioning the assignments she was given; then she found herself the target of another assassin. Crump was a Police Detective whose wife and child were murdered by a man he put in prison. The one thing that they had in common was that neither of them thought they were good marriage material. None of that stopped Crump from deciding to put the headstrong Makenna over his knee for a hearty spanking after she went after Sam and Amos's enemy all by herself. Makenna was captured, and if not for Sam's wife, Tandy, Makenna would have been tortured and killed. Makenna was wallowing in guilt for being so foolish, but she wouldn't accept help from a man who claimed he needed no help whatsoever in chasing away his own demons.
