A six-part spy story first published in 1900 in a magazine, it is an early example of the spy mystery story.
It is the story of a princess, a coup d'etat, villainy, double dealing, murder and the man who is destined to help sort things out.
Although there have been several other printed editions of these six stories, this is the first to offer the four bonus short stories that demonstrate the breadth of White's works. This edition contains all of the fine sepia-toned illustrations created by artist Victor Verner for each of the serialized portions of the main story. Black & White and color illustrations for the four bonus short stories have also been locate, cleaned up and added to those tales.
NOTE: As this was written in England and more than 115 years ago, some spellings are different from what you would see in today's fiction. These are NOT mistakes!
