The Sick and the Shut-in: a short story

Tabitha was recently suspended from her job as a physical therapist and has moved back home to Greenville, South Carolina after the unexpected death of her grandmother. Her deceased grandmother's best friend, Mrs. Crumbs hasn't left her house since 9/11. Tabitha has two immediate goals: cure Mrs. Crumbs of her agoraphobia, and get a new job to get back on her feet. The only things standing in her way are Mrs Crumbs' stubbornness and Tabitha's need to fix the broken.
