The book chronicles, in story form, the struggles Black Americans have under taken from slavery times to the passing of the civil-rights bill in 1964. The reader will get an up-close accounting of the appalling treatment Black Americans have had to contend with, and will learn that America still has a long way to go in allowing ALL of its citizens true equality.
