Petroleum Geology for Geoscientists

The geology of petroleum is becoming ever more important as the demand for fossil flu increases worldwide. We must find new hydrocarbon reserves that are hidden in almost inaccessible areas. Our knowledge of petroleum geology is the best intellectual tool that we have as answer for the never-ending search for rich new deposits of hydrocarbon. Development in petroleum geology, geochemistry, and advances in seismic and well-logging measurement, provide a better understanding of the evolution of subsurface sedimentary deposits and the migration, entrapment and production of hydrocarbon.
