This is a collection that attempts to answer the age old question, "what happens when you take Transcendentalism, Modernist thoughts and a copy of 'A Beats Reader Primer' with you on an outing to the mall?"
This is a book of poems that combines evocative and grandiose imagery, self deprecating humor and sardonic self awareness (often in the same poem).

From the appropriately named 22 part irony laden pop culture ramble "Sprawl" to one Stanza poems such as "Well Lit Ports" this collection runs the gamut.
If you had to read just two stanzas to get a feel for the flavor of poems you will find in this collection you could not do better than the first two stanzas of "Scars" The final poem of the book:

"I have pulled myself,
Through the hardest times,
On nothing but Resolve.

Dragging my soul behind me,
Bleeding platitudes,
And assurances
That I'm Ok."
