Tom Swift and the Space Battering Ram

In the first novel of a limited saga (4 books planned with a possible 5th one) and the very first time two authors have co-written a major Tom Swift novel, some very serious and very bothersome things have been going on here on the Earth.

A brother-and-sister pair of megalomaniacs have been kidnapping hundreds of tribespeople in the Philippines and suing them as forced labor to build a secret base on the back side of the Moon. Utilizing stolen technology from Swift Enterprises as well as other international companies, they have managed to construct a secret and unseeable fortress high in the mountains of Luzon, build a rail gun spaceship launcher, and send their slaves and more than a million tons of equipment and supplies to the Moon and build the first of many planned multi-level domes in a hidden crater.

What Tom discovers horrifies him. The Masters, as the duo insist on being called, plan to harness a large asteroid, mine it for what it might provide them, and then hurtle it at the Earth in an attempt to partially destroy mankind so that they might rule everything and everyone from their lunar base.

Tom must find a way to control anything they might send to do damage and comes up with an ingenious new invention, one that is based on an old favorite but with new capabilities.

Thus begins the Lunar Colony Saga.
