Many in today's world seem to think that Domestic Violence is merely hitting or battering an individual. In truth, it is much more. Domestic Violence can escalate from controlling behaviors to full physical violence over a span of time. There is no magic formula with which to gauge how long this will take. For me it took many, many years. However, in spite of my counseling education, I remained oblivious to all the facets until I finally woke up.

It takes a lot of guts and fortitude to leave an abusive situation; however, many never seem to manage it. The steps I took are within the pages of this book along with suggested further reading.
