A man, Nicholas, and a woman, Felicity, worship at Dharma flower Monastery in Seattle, Washington, USA, at North America. A parallel plot follows Ashoka, an Indian Buddhist monk, and Many Troubles, two adventurers who seek the red and yellow scarf of Mei, a dragon at a temple on The River Of Sorrows, through China and The North Pacific Ocean.
