In the later part of 2012, we experienced a catastrophic home fire. We had no clue on what to do and how to protect our interests over the next eighteen months. I was unable to find any resources how to circumnavigate the process of a home disaster. During that time, I made a large number of mistakes as well as discovering many short cuts and smarter ways to handle the process.
The goal of this guide is to help you to come out in great shape after suffering from a home disaster. We will help you navigate the murky waters of home owners insurance, personal property restoration, home design & construction, insurance and construction contracts and more. My hope is that you will learn from our journey on how to successfully live after a tragedy.
