John Bridges and his adopted family meet great challenges when they enter a time-warp and travel far into the future. There they survive savage storms, struggle to find food and battle hostile, mutant humans to the death. In their fight to survive in this strange, yet familiar new world they journey south to seek warmer climate. It is evident others of their kind have preceded them. However, the Bridges clan is unknowingly guided in their efforts to endure this strange new world. What force is directing them, and will the goal eventually be revealed?
