Rachel boards at quiet Green Lake Farms because she'd rather not have an audience to her fights with her stubborn thoroughbred mare, Lady, but when talented and accomplished Nikki arrives, an audience is exactly what she gets. Nikki always seems to be hanging around, offering unsolicited riding advice and charming Rachel's horse away from her. Rachel can't stand her . . . until she realizes where Nikki's true interests lie.
