MERTON OF THE MOVIES follows the misadventures of Merton Gill, an aspiring movie actor with no talent. When the producers see how ridiculous his acting is, they cast him in a comedy, but tell him that he's acting in a drama. MERTON OF THE MOVIES was adapted for film three times (1924, 1932, 1947).

BUNKER BEAN is a clever satire on Big Business and urban culture of early 20th century America. This work helped to popularize the term "flapper."
