The Millennium

Properly understood, the Millennium is not the length of time of the reign of Christ on earth. Rather, it is just that portion of time when the saints of God will join Christ in His eternal rule. A re-reading of the relevant verses in Revelation 20:2-7 makes it clear that the 1,000 years is just the length of time for the saints to join Christ in His rule. The verses did not say that the reign of Christ is only for a total of 1,000 years. As the creator, the alpha and omega, the beginning and the end, the Word who is from the beginning – Jesus Christ has actually been reigning from the dawn of time. The Millennium is just a chapter, not the totality, of Christ rule on earth.
