Lady Merton, Colonist

An ultra-feminine study of the conflict between East and West, civilization and the wilderness, silk lingerie and rough, red, medicated flannel. Specifically, it is the story of Lady Merton, a young English widow of aristocratic lineage and hothouse tastes, who goes out to the Canadian Northwest with a sick brother and there falls in love with George Anderson, son of a border outlaw.
