A Winter Adventure

Two teenage boys drive from the Twin Cities to Duluth, Minnesota for a weekend in December and they encounter severe winter driving conditions. Enroute their car is hijacked by two escaped convicts who seek to exit the country. Their escape plan includes stowing away on a ship that is about to leave Duluth for Europe. However, when they approach the ship they discover that it is in hands of terrorists who plan to destroy the entire Duluth-Superior harbor. A ship cleaning crew of Mexicans were on the ship when it was taken over. All are held hostage on the ship by the terrorists and together they attempt to oust the terrorists with the assistance of the local police. A shootout results in the defeat of the terrorists, the rescue of the Mexicans but the escape of the convicts with the two boys held for protection. They travel further north along Lake Superior and the boys are eventually saved from their captives and the elements with the assistance of a talking moose. A fun read mixed with action and humor.
