Emergency Management 101

Disasters, both man-made and natural, are increasing at the rate of almost 400% over the last decade. Being prepared is essential; because it is not a 'question of IF, but rather a question of WHEN' a disaster could strike you or your family. LTG Russel Honore' and his staff have put together this textbook for you to be able to understand what it is that you should be doing to get prepared as well as learning what your government is planning to do to try to help you.
The General and his staff have well over 100 years of combined service in the field of Emergency Management and have been the 'Boots on the Ground' for a very large percentage of all of the disasters that have hit the United States in the last 50 years.
A lot has been learned and a lot needs to be taught. Plus we now have a huge increase in man-made disasters and we need to learn from our experiences. But clearly a disaster is a disaster whether it be man-made or natural.
The General says it ever so plainly when he said, "Mother Nature can tear down anything that Man can build!". We hope that this textbook will illuminate many of the things that you need to know in order to be prepared.
