This book is created by an inmate for inmates. Most state prisons have a commissary or accept orders for prisoners of prepackaged food from state designated vendors. The food seldom varies and is often limited in choices. Sometimes you can deconstruct this prepackaged food to create other dishes. For example, who ever thought you could make a microwave cake from crushed cookies and mayonnaise?

This book explores the culinary possibilities available to most prisoners with limited resources and a desire for something different. Something that can remind them there is more than just prison food. Something to remind them of home. And food, before prison.
