Stranded: The Long Journey Home tells the story of a father and son traveling around the United States of America to explore its beauty and celebrate young Nic's coming of age. Political unrest interrupts their vacation as armed conflicts erupt in Iran and Syria and eventually a terrorist attack hits US soil. The catastrophic attack is devastating, wiping out electricity and infrastructure nationwide. Father and son were in Yellowstone park for the aftermath of the attack and must then walk to Texas, to Paul Sanchez's home, in hopes of finding it still standing.
