Words of Promise

Words of Promise is the story of a young Italian soldier who returns to his village in Southern Italy during World War I only to find family and friends suffering under the dictatorship of Fascism. Giuseppe's promise to marry Gina, his childhood sweetheart, is impeded when he comes home to find her gone. Consumed with rage, he plans his revenge against the corrupt regime. He is willing to sacrifice his life to ensure the safety of his friends and family. An encounter with a stranger helps him resolve his conflict of promises made as we follow the young soldier on his vengeful journey.
