My grandfather was a sharecropper. He and my grandmother adopted me when I was thirteen years old. Prior to me going to the Army, he told me these words: "Boy, you're smart and strong. You can handle the military. Your problem is, you will do anything."
Though he died in 1976, the prodigal returns.
