Daddy's Apple Tree

Daddy's Apple Tree is Dale's first book of poetry. Dale's poetry is uniquely lucid and original. He offers to the reader an opportunity to feel his sensitiv-ity and thoughts, as he addresses a wide range of subjects such as love and romance, his childhood, family, and growing up in the family-oriented community of Lignum, within Culpeper, Virginia. He presents to you his down-home spun humor; and his adages about the quirks of everyday life with history and fiction juxtaposed within his works.
He began writing as a junior in high school. After high school, working and starting a family took center stage of his life. He wrote sparingly during the next ten years. The death of his father stirred emotions inside of him that soon found their way onto paper. His family and friends enjoyed his poetry about his father, relatives, and his ability to project a vivid picture of growing up in Culpeper and encouraged him to continue writing.
When you open the cover of this book and look inside, you will feel the pain of losing a loved one; and you will come face to face with God's Love, Protection, and Grace. You will hear Dale's laughter; you will see through his eyes as he encounters nature. His orations to romace and of love will carry you away to that special someone who resides within your heart.
