Life in Pieces

Dwayne O'Keith Burns has been an educator for more than twenty-eight years. He holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in political science and public administration, respectively, from the University of South Carolina and Golden Gate University in San Francisco. He is an Air Force veteran who served in the Persian Gulf during Operation Desert Storm, the first Gulf War. Throughout his life, the author has had a wide and rich array of experiences ranging from being a teenaged nightclub performer to a newspaper reporter to holding a position in city government and dabbling in politics. This father of three, offers an honest, emotional, and passionate look at a life of struggle, tragedy and ultimate success--a life well lived.
